Discovering nature

Bordeaux contains a great many squares and parks in bloom, two of which are absolutely not to be missed out on: the Parc Bordelais in the residential suburb of Caudéran and the Jardin Public, which is located in the very heart of the city and also accommodates its natural history museum.

On the Bordeaux Lac side, the Bois de Bordeaux contains a major sports track and a wide variety of European and North American tree species. The wood adjoins the Parc Floral, where you can visit a rose garden covering over 5000 m2.

Right bank: The Bordeaux Bastide Botanical Garden devotes 10 hectares to the conservation of regional species and to the study of biodiversity, and contains a wide range of varieties, including liana, vines, climbing plants, papyrus and water plants.
