Leave dry land and the continent behind you aboard a 12-seater motor launch and set off to explore Europe’s largest estuary, its history, islands, colours and vineyards. Excursion with commentary by a native-born guide.

Departures from Blaye from June to September, from the Blaye pontoon at the foot of the citadel. Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays. Contact us for times.

The same excursion can also be had departing from Bourg, Pauillac, Lamarque, Cubzac-les-Ponts, Saint-Ciers-sur-Gironde and Saint-Christoly-du-Médoc.

Prices: 12.50€ per adult and 6€ per child from 5 to 14 years of age. Under-fives free of charge.

Discovery of Ile Nouvelle aboard “La Ginette” (73 passengers)

Get to know Ile Nouvelle  (New Island), set in the midst of the Estuary. A timeless experience!

Departure aboard “La Ginette”

June and September, Sundays, departure from Blaye at 2 p.m. (from the pontoon), returning between 4:30 and 5 p.m.

July and August, Tuesdays and Thursdays, departure from Blaye at 2 p.m., returning between 4:30 and 5 p.m.

Prices: 8€ adults and 6€ children from 5 to14 years of age. Under-fives free of charge
 Take a cruise on the Estuary aboard “La Ginette”, bound for the “Terre d’Oiseaux” ornithological park and a commentated nature walk in discovery of the marshland and its flora and fauna. Plan for a picnic.

Over and above...

On Saturdays in July and August, as well as Ile Nouvelle, “La Ginette” also departs on cruises around the three Vauban forts (Fort Pâté, Fort Médoc and the Blaye Citadel), all listed as UNESCO World Heritage sites.
