La Fête des Bœufs Gras - Bazas  

Since 1823, every Thursday before Shrove Tuesday, the finest specimens of the Bazas cattle breed, festooned in ribbons and floral wreaths, parade to the sound of fifes and tambourines through the town’s streets. The day ends on a high with a banquet at which you can taste Bazas Beef, awarded with the Label Rouge since 1997.

La Foire aux vins, pains et fromages - Langon

A weekend entirely given over to regional produce: producers of wine, bread and cheese from different French regions come together in Langon to treat the public to their products. National Cork-Throwing Championships and variety shows on the Friday and Saturday evenings. Inductions and first Graves wine pressing.

La Fête de la Palombe – Bazas

On the last weekend in September, the town of Bazas is decked out in blue to announce the return of the wood pigeon. In its recreated dovecote décor in front of the Cathedral, the famous “Lous Paloumayres de Bazats” fellowship gathers its chapter before the Présidial (historical law tribunal) with great pomp. On the programme: Paloumayres mass with the Veneurs d’Epernon (hunting horn players), induction of personalities and dinner dance.
